Ol Pejeta Ranch House

Ol Pejeta Ranch House lies in the heart of Ol Pejeta Ranch, 90,000 acre of private ranch land, on the western foothills of Mt. Kenya. The Sweetwaters Game Reserve is located in Ol Pejeta and provides unrivalled game viewing opportunities.

Description

The Ranch House offers exclusivity for a maximum of twelve guests, in six luxury suites. The house is furnished with original and unique paintings and artefacts, and overlooks tropical gardens, two swimming pools and a waterhole.

Accommodation & Facilities: The main house has a master bedroom with a 12’x12’ bed, private lounge, dressing room and oversize bathroom. The house has a lounge, dining room, television room and a large verandah. Buffalo cottage, originally built to accommodate Khashoggi’s children, consists of two en-suite rooms.

Hosted By: Suleiman Jama and his team of staff host guests at the Ranch House, and will coordinate all activities.

Activities:

  • Day and night game drives, and nature/bird walks.
  • Horse and camel riding.
  • Bush breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Visits to see the Chimpanzees - and enjoy a boat ride through the sanctuary.
  • Visits to ‘Morani’ – the 30 year old tame rhino.
  • Visit to the Ereri Multicultural Manyatta.
  • Venture on foot to find and monitor black rhinos.
  • Opportunities to see wild dog after an absence of 30 years from Laikipia, as well as the “Big Five”
  • Lion Tracking with the research team.

Optional Extras: Drinks, most activities and road transfers.

Closed Season: Open all year round.

Access: By Air Kenya to Nanyuki, followed by road transfer, or by road from Nairobi (3½ hours).
