The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille

ollentilleLocation

Situated in the far North of Laikipia with far-reaching views to Mt Kenya and the great northern deserts, amid grassy hills and deep valleys, wooded with acacia and olives. The sandy laghas are bordered by great fig and fever trees. It is named after Ol Lentille - the 1977 meter hill, from the top of which an astonishing panorama unfolds.

Description

Perched on the flanks of a wooded rock kopje, in the heart of our private conservancy, is The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille - a collection of four private, full-service, fully staffed houses for the discerning few. "Your Own Place in the African Wilderness".

Accommodation/Facilities: Houses range from the one bedroom Eyrie, to the three bedroom Chief's House. Each has its own dedicated butler, valet, and guide. Each house is uniquely designed. 14-16 people may be accommodated. There is a swimming pool with lounging and dining pavilions, a spa, a game-viewing deck with bar which at night is equipped with a GPS controlled telescope, and a club room, known as the Library.

Hosted By: The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille is managed under long term contract for the Maasai community by John & Gill Elias, who are resident nearby.

Activities;

  • Guests may also wish to get involved, perhaps on a long term basis, with our Community Projects and they will be warmly welcomed.

Optional Extras: The Sanctuary is all-inclusive except for rare wines, vintage champagne, aircraft and helicopter. Optionally, arrangements can be made for fly-in grouse shooting or trout fishing.

Closed Season: Open all year round.

Access: The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille has its own private airstrip, and a helipad. Access by road is 80km from Nanyuki airstrip (about 100 minutes drive). We can meet guests in Nairobi.
